Jeff Longolia Lokipi, the deputy chairperson for the physical infrastructure committee, told the assembly on Wednesday that all five machines and three truck Lorries of the state have been grounded and need repair.
“The cat excavator, cat grader, cat roller vibrator, cat backhoe, JCB backhoe, Mitsubishi truck EEG 240 A, Mitsubishi truck EEG 241 A, and Leyland truck RSS EEG 085 A all are grounded and need repair,” he said.
According to him, the state Ministry of Road and Bridges still lacks enough operation costs to enable its department to maintain all the machines.
