David Hundeyin's Twitter Account has been locked Over Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Dual Citizenship Allegation

As a result of specific posts made about the incoming president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the prominent Nigerian investigative journalist David Hundeyin's verified account has now been blocked on Twitter.

Over the past weekend, Hundeyin released claims that the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had dual citizenship with Nigeria and Guinea.

As Bola Ahmed Tinubu was already embroiled in countless issues before and after the February 25th presidential election, in which he was proclaimed the winner, Hundeyin's post raised quite a flurry of responses on the microblogging platform.

Hundeyin is well-known for supporting the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi. Since then, the journalist has been seen constantly making 'controversial' disclosures about Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Twitter.

According to Hundeyin's most recent report regarding Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, he may have committed perjury, which is considered grievous by the national electoral body.

On Monday, Hundeyin posted on his blog page [@ West Africa Week] to confirm that his Twitter account had been suspended. He noted that his account had been reported for "posting private information" and was locked.

Twitter's private information and media policy states that one may not post or publish other people's private information without their express permission and authorization.

They also prohibit threatening to expose private information or incentivizing others.
