Brentford-linked Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham, two clubs from London, are interested in Morten Hjulmand. The midfielder has drawn attention while representing Lecce in Italy. However, they may find it difficult to hold on to him this summer, given the number of clubs rumored to be interested in signing him.

According to CalcioMercato, West Ham, Brighton and Hove Albion, Atletico Madrid, and European powerhouses Borussia Dortmund and Roma are all interested in signing him. Spurs are also reportedly interested, as are Borussia Dortmund and Roma. 

An earlier report by Italian news outlet CalcioMercato said that Brentford had expressed interest in the midfielder. However, he remained in Italy past the end of the January transfer window, despite rumors that he would leave.

Hjulmand, a 23-year-old, joined Lecce in 2021 after leaving Admira Wacker. Last season, he assisted them in being promoted from Serie B. He has had little trouble transitioning to the top division.

Spurs might consider him as a way to strengthen their midfield group in preparation for the upcoming season. In addition, West Ham may have spotted him as a potential long-term successor for star player Declan Rice, whose future is uncertain. 

But, there seems to be plenty of interest in the player from around Europe. Therefore it's a race to sign him.
