The ongoing legal dispute between Folake Falana, of the renowned Falana Chambers, and the social media personality known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) has garnered significant attention, with influencers and celebrities chiming in on the matter. As the legal tension rises, opinions have flooded social media, each taking a stance on the contentious accusations and statements made by both parties.

Folake Falana made an appearance on Breakfast Extra News Central earlier today, where she responded to various questions regarding her recent outburst on Instagram. During the interview, she addressed the allegations raised by VDM, particularly his claims of bribery involving her father, Femi Falana, and her brother, popular rapper Falz. She didn't mince words, labeling VDM as "notorious”.

In her Instagram post, she previously expressed disbelief that someone like VDM could make such serious allegations, saying, “...it’s even crazier that all it takes is for a ridiculous character like VDM to accuse my dad and Falz of bribery….” This, however, did not sit well with VDM, who quickly responded to her remarks after the News Central interview.

Shortly after Folake's interview aired, VDM took to social media, as he has consistently done throughout this saga, to respond. He accused her of chasing clout and expressed displeasure over her name-calling. In his response, VDM stated:

“First of all, Falz’s sister, we already said we are going to court, but you don dey go podcast, dey call me names, dey chase clout. The first time for your write-up, you called me a ridiculous fellow. Now you don call me notorious…"

VDM continued, questioning Folake's relevance outside of her family name:

“Who are you without your father? I don’t even remember your name, that’s why I call you Falz’s sister. Without this matter, I didn’t even know your father had a daughter before this. So, when you call me ridiculous, notorious, you better watch mouth. We already said we are going to court, let’s go to court. Why are you going everywhere, you dey talk say na me dey chase clout, but na you dey use my name chase clout!”

VeryDarkMan also addressed the issue of how he was labeled and clarified that he simply called out what was said in the audio clip, stating:

"Don’t act as if VeryDarkMan wakes up in the morning and just calls names. Na the name wey dey audio I call! When your guy man say, 'Mr. Yakubu, e maa sebi fraudster,' you no talk say that he was referring to the man as fraudster."
