Top 5 Nigerians in the WWE

The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) has been a leader in the wrestling community. WWE has gotten to the point where its name is synonymous with wrestling.

Since its inception in the 1950s, there have been performers from all over the world. Many of them have gone ahead to make huge names for themselves.

In this post, we will be talking about wrestling performers who are from or of Nigerian origin.

For a long time, I personally have longed to see more African entertainers, especially from Africa, and it's finally coming through. Here are the top 5 Nigerian WWE stars.

Top 5 Nigerians in the WWE

Moose

The first name on our list is Moose. His full name is Quinn Ojinnaka. He was born on April 23rd, 1984. 

He was an American footballer before switching to a career in wrestling. He is signed with Impact Wrestling and since then he has gone on to achieve some extraordinary feats. 

He is a one-time Impact World Champion, a two-time Impact Grand Champion, and a one-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Omos

His fullname is Tolulope Jordan Omogbehin. He is popularly called giant Amos because of his towering build and height. 

Omogbehin was born in Lagos, Nigeria but played high school basketball in the States after moving to Virginia.

He stopped playing basketball and was snapped up by NXT founder and wrestling legend Triple H for WWE. He is over 7ft tall and very intimidating.

EJ Nduka

If you are familiar with Nigerian names you will see that "Nduka" is from the Ibo tribe in Nigeria. He is a former bodybuilder and professional AFL player. 

He was born in Dallas, Texas, to parents Obie and Prince Nduka, who is originally from Nigeria. He is signed with Major League Wrestling. 

During the World Championships in Vegas, Nduka placed 4th in the Men's Physique Professional Division... yeah. He's definitely not someone you want to mess with.

Commander Azeez

His full name is Babatunde Lukasz Aiyegbusi: He has a unique entrance into the ring. 

He comes dressed in an agbada(Yoruba traditional attire). He is Polish-Nigerian and was a football player before switching his career to wrestling.

Apollo Crews

His full name is Sesugh Uhaa. He was born on August 27th, 1987. He is a Nigerian-American professional product. He won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 37 and he performs under the NXT brand.
