The Felix Scholarship was the vision of a kindhearted person known only as "the Founder" who wished to maintain their anonymity.

To give talented, underprivileged students from India and other developing nations the chance to pursue their postgraduate degrees at a university in the UK, the Felix Scholarship was established in 1990.

Cambridge Trust International Scholarships

The merger of the Cambridge Overseas Trust and the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust resulted in the creation of the Cambridge Commonwealth, European & International Trust on August 1, 2013.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated  $210 million to the University of Cambridge in October 2000 to launch the Gates Cambridge Scholarship program.
