Study in Canada Scholarships

Study in Canada Scholarships aims to increase opportunities for Canadian post-secondary institutions to welcome international students from a wide range of countries and territories on short-term exchanges for study or research. 


  1. A citizen of an eligible country/territory: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan, Türkiye, Ukraine, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda.
  2. A student enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an eligible country/territory.
  3. Paying tuition fees to that institution at the time of application and for the full duration of your exchange.

The deadline for Canadian institutions to submit online applications on behalf of students is 11:59 p.m. EDT, March 21, 2023.

Canadian institutions should establish an earlier deadline with students and their home institutions to ensure the timely receipt of supporting documents.


Application instructions for Canadian institutions applying on behalf of eligible students

  1. Assign a program coordinator to complete applications.
  2. Login or Create an account on Momentum to apply for the scholarship on behalf of students.
  3. Once you have logged into your account, select the Study in Canada Scholarships program in the “For Non-Canadians” section and click on “Apply Now”
  4. Enter data in the fields marked mandatory and follow instructions for each item.
  5. Upload all required supporting documents. Each document must be smaller than 5 MB and in .pdf, .jpg, .doc, .docx, .txt or .gif format for the application to upload successfully.
  6. Verify the data prior to submission.
  7. Click “SUMBIT”. You will receive a confirmation message and a reference number for submitted applications.
  8. Print the form for your records using the print function in the browser.
