In a press release, the Maryland State Police stated that around 12:40 on March 22, troopers were dispatched in response to a complaint of a pedestrian accident on Interstate 695 in Baltimore County.
Police reported that an Acura drove into the construction area between temporary jersey walls. Still, they were unaware of the reason for the incident. Before flipping over, the Acura struck numerous on-site construction workers, according to the police.
According to WDCW, the vehicle's rollover sent debris across several lanes of traffic. Police reported that six people were pronounced dead at the site, and the Acura driver was brought to a trauma center for treatment.
