Nigerian songwriter and singer Harry Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has been arrested by the Nigerian police force in Lagos state over a petition against him by a popular music executive, Soso Soberekon.
Confirming the report, Harrysong posted on his Instagram Tuesday that he was arrested immediately after returning from a trip to Lagos.
"I got arrested as I landed in Lagos. My phone was seized, and I am not allowed to communicate with my people," the post read.
Harrysong had earlier tagged Soberekon as his enemy who attempted to assassinate him.

Soberekon reacting to the accusation, through his lawyers, sent a defamation notice to Harrysong, where he demanded a compensation of N500 million.
The notice partly read, "Our client has directed we request for a retraction of the said publication and also for an apology to be published in several online news millets and two newspapers not later than seven days of this letter's delivery and the payment of the sum of Five Hundred Million Naira (N500,000,000.00) as damages and compensation for the malicious publications made against our client.
"TAKE NOTICE that failure to heed our client's request within seven days of the receipt of this letter, we shall be compelled to proceed to the court of law against you for exemplary damages for injurious falsehood and malicious publication made of and concerning our client."
