Multiple-time On December 15, the Accra Regional Police Command invited Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama, the PNC's presidential candidate, and General Secretary Janet Asana Nabla to assist with investigations.
This comes in response to a petition that party presidential candidate for 2020 David Apasera submitted.
Police also invited another senior PNC official, Edward Mahama
In the appeal, Mr. Apasera, a former member of parliament, detailed how several fictitious guys approached him and tried to take his Toyota Land Cruiser while posing as National Security agents.
"I opposed their requests since the car I was holding doesn't belong to Mahama and never has," I said in response to one of their demands.
He described how things became complicated, and the Cantonments Police were forced to lock the car until Dr. Mahama arrived with the proper papers.
"Except for the three (3) claimed National Security Operatives, who included me, Dr. Edward Mahama, and Ms. Janet Nabla, the parties were invited to a meet with the Cantonments Police Commander the following week on November 22, 2022, at around 10 am.
In the previous meeting, Dr. Edward Mahama claimed that the car I was driving belonged to him and said that he and Janet Nabla had given the three (3) alleged national security agents orders to find me and arrest me for seizing the car.
Dr. Edward Nasigrie Mahama could not present any physical documentation to back his claim to the car. Thus the Cantonments police commander determined that the vehicle be parked at their location while additional investigations were conducted.
Thus, Dr. Mahama and Ms. Nabla were called. The PNC asked the police to act quickly to bring the offenders and their agents to book in a statement.
Additionally, we are requesting the police to provide a temporary security escort for our current leader, Hon. David Apasera, whose life and his family are in danger.
