Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, popularly known as Oxlade was born on April 22, 1997, in Surulere, a Lagos neighborhood. After his mother's death, his father and grandmother were responsible for his upbringing.
His father lectured at Lagos State University and Oxlade was enrolled in the discipline, History and International Relations. He enrolled for two years before dropping out to pursue his musical career.

Oxlade is a Nigerian singer and composer signed to Troniq Music, Epic Records in France, and Fuenlabrada Records in the United Kingdom. He gained notoriety after the release of his song "Away" which was named one of Rolling Stone's 50 best songs of 2020.
Oxlade was chosen as the inaugural Pandora Africa's Next Artist in July 2022.
However, his recent release ‘KU LO SA’ has gained massive waves and its music video will be out soon. The 25-year-old singer disseminated the snippet from the music video on his Instagram, stating that it will be out in no time.
Although it is at an undisclosed date, there are hopes it'll be soon enough. Thankfully, Oxlade's ‘KU LO SA’ Tops 100 Million Streams On Global Platforms
KU LO SA premiered on streaming platforms on June 10, 2022, and its live-performing video was released on the Colors YouTube channel. This alone has gained over 32 million YouTube streams as of the time of this write-up.
KU LO SA made its debut on the Official Afrobeats chart Top 20 as number 11 and some weeks later, specifically, on July 10, 2022, it scaled as number 8. This was just a month before its release.
It made its debut as number 66 on TurnTable Nigeria Top 1000 chart. ‘KU LO SA’ has also flared a social media challenge in which participants had to dress up as Oxlade and emulate his performance.
