Ahead of the general elections in 2023, the labour party, or LP, in Borno state has appointed officials to lead its campaign. 

The newly-installed Chairman of the Campaign Council, Director General Gavs Kariya, said on behalf of the 54 support groups members that they are already prepared for the campaign launching very soon.

He said this while speaking at the inauguration in front of journalists on Saturday at the  NUJ press center (Nigeria Union of Journalists)in Maiduguri.

The campaign coordinator claimed that his party is represented at the ward level and in each of the state's 27 council areas. 

He also claimed that the organization of the Peter Obi presidency would surprise all other contesting parties in the state. Regarding difficulties, the DG mentioned that Borno has experienced violence for more than ten years and added that the inhabitants of Borno yearn for change. 

However, being the third force that the oppressed masses turn to, we do not anticipate any attacks. "Since politics began in 1999, Borno residents have witnessed a rise in violence in the struggle for political and material advantage.

However, all Nigerians who have organized support groups nationwide have given the Obi-Dati team the green light to carry out the mandate. The mandate is based on their: Reason for serving, Attitude toward serving, and Previous Conduct in Serving.

"Through competence/merit, pragmatism, and honesty, the Obi-Dati presidency will usher in good governance that provides security and welfare to the people.

We, at this moment, inaugurate the following people to spread the good word about the Obi-Dati presidency.
