It comes as a shock as President Muhammadu Buhari fires the Director General of NYSC, 6 months after his appointment and before the passing out of 2022 batch C1.
The Director General (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier-General Mohammed Fadah has been oust from his position by the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.
This removal comes as a shock as the DG was appointed only six months ago, May 2022. Although we don't have enough information at the moment, sources say, the NYSC DG was fired due to incompetence.
It should be noted that the current batch C stream 1 of the 2022/2023 session are still on camp, yet to carry out their passing out parade, and this is also the period in which the DG moves between camps for visitation, to assess the state of things.
It will be interesting to see who gets appointed and how things unfold for the next few months.
