Mr. Mahama called the 2024 general election a crucial one. He said the problematic task ahead demands the undivided focus of the executives with their designated responsibilities.

The NDC's presidential contender for 2020 declared during a speech at the just concluded national congress that "We must cease the celebration and set to work immediately."

It will be a crucial mandate because these executives will oversee a critical election with more enormous stakes in 2024. "These executives were elected by the delegates to fulfill an order until 2026.

"I believe they are aware of the burden that has been placed on them. This celebration must therefore be brief. But, he emphasized on Sunday morning, "We must stop the party and get to work right away.

Additionally, Mr. Mahama urged unification following the internal elections. He pushed both election winners and losers to take part in friendly activities.

He claims that everyone will have space under the cover. Of course, we are all winners, but those elected must accept their victories with grace, and those who lost should know that there is still plenty of space under the canopy.

We will all work together to ensure that those who were not elected have a role to play in the victory of 2024, he said, adding that the party may ask them to serve in various positions.
