Local Beauty Queen To Exhibit Seychelles Culture At Miss Heritage Global Pageant
Tisha Loze, the representative of Seychelles at the forthcoming Miss Heritage Global in Limpopo, South Africa, aims to showcase her nation's heritage and culture on the world stage.
The 22-year-old beauty queen will leave Seychelles in September for the event. She told SNA she feels delighted to be given the opportunity to promote her country. "It is of great honour that I am representing Seychelles, and I will go with everything I have to make the Seychelles flag fly high," Loze said.
Currently, Loze is studying for a diploma in fashion. She will be competing among representatives of 53 nations.
She added, "I already have some understanding from competing in local pageants. And also at the Miss Heritage Global, I am capable of showing the world what Seychelles has got to offer."
The beauty queen said she would be able to share a lot of preparation she has undergone for the pageant. The preparation includes research and learning about arts and crafts.
The last time Seychelles competed at the event was in 2019. Ella Marie represented the nation in 2019. It is through Ella Marie that Loze was chosen.
Online voting has already started for the pageant. Marie said, "having not held a Miss Heritage Pageant locally as well as the global event not being able to take place for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisers contacted me, being that I was Seychelles' last participant.
They asked me to send a representative to the country. I have been working with Tisha for some time now, so I approached her with the opportunity."
The age of women the pageant is open to is between 17-28. The main pageant is scheduled to be held on September 24th.
Online voting for the pageant has started, and people can vote for their favourites. Multiple votes by a person are allowed, but the votes are limited to one per day. Loze said, "People can visit my Miss Heritage Global Instagram page. They will find a link and be able to cast their votes."
She added that she would gain valuable exposure and experience from this opportunity as she continues in the pursuit of a career in modelling. Miss Heritage Global (MHG) is the first international beauty pageant to focus on promoting diverse heritage.
