INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) will continue compiling results today, Tuesday, February 28, at 11:00 am. Today is the third day of collating results for the presidential election that was held on February 25, 2023.
The meeting in Abuja's International Conference Centre ended around 10:00 am on Monday.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party, two of the top contenders, have called for a suspension of the collation process since INEC has not uploaded polling unit results to the result viewing portal (IReV).
Results from Kwara, Osun, Ondo, Ogun, Oyo, Yobe, Enugu, Lagos, Gombe, Jigawa, Adamawa, Katsina, and Nasarawa, as well as Ekiti, have so far been sent to INEC.
In Jigawa, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Kwara, and Ekiti, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, won the election. Ekiti states' result was, however, canceled due to overvoting.
Katsina, Adamawa, Gombe, Yobe, and Osun were among the five states the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakarwon.
LP candidate Peter Obi won in Nasarawa, Lagos, and Enugu.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), led by Rabiu Kwankwaso, lost all of the states that INEC oversaw.
