According to accounts, the event took place in the state along the Ikole-Oye route. The youngster received emergency care at the Federal Medical Centre in Ido-Ekiti but ultimately passed away.
In a statement, the school administration announced that there would be no lectures at the University on this day to honor the kids. According to the information provided to news reporters, the University paid for the deceased's hospital stay and medical care.
Prof. Dosu Malomo, the dean of students of the institution, expressed sympathy for the student's passing and pointed out that Gbolahan passed away in the theater while being treated by doctors on the ground.
The University received the tragic news on Saturday that one of its students had passed away in a horrifying car accident on the Ikole-Oye highway, according to a condolence statement sent by Wole Balogun, the vice chancellor's special adviser on media matters.

The University paid the hospital bill, and treatment for him started in earnest while he was in the theater. His parents were informed, and his father was admitted to the hospital.
The entire University and the Vice-Chancellor express their sympathies for this tragic loss. As a result, I want to announce that Saturday, December 17, is declared a lecture-free day in honor of the deceased. The VC asked the student body to maintain composure and participate in legal activities.
