Folakemi Falana, daughter of Femi Falana, dismisses bribery allegations made by VeryDarkMan, defending her family’s integrity and threatening legal action after demands for a retraction were ignored.
In a strong response to recent accusations, Folakemi Falana, daughter of renowned lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), has dismissed bribery and corruption claims involving her family. The allegations, made by social media critic Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan), suggested that the Falanas sought ₦10 million from cross-dresser Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) to secure his name's removal from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) records.

Folakemi, in an Instagram post, emphasized that the claims were baseless, adding that her father and brother, popular musician Falz, have never engaged in such activities. She pointed out that her family has been offering free legal assistance for presidential pardons long before these accusations arose.
“My parents and Falana & Falana Chambers have been applying for presidential pardons for Nigerians for free, years before many of you were even born,” Folakemi wrote, addressing her critics.
She further expressed disbelief that anyone would think her father or brother needed money from Bobrisky, calling the allegations "ridiculous." Additionally, she criticized the audacity of VeryDarkMan’s claim that Falz had an inappropriate relationship with Bobrisky.
Despite the Falanas’ demands for a retraction within 24 hours, VeryDarkMan stood by his claims, prompting Folakemi to hint at taking the matter to court.
“Since you’ve refused to retract your statements, see you in court,” she concluded.
