"The dynamic African Union capital of Addis Abeba is leading the plan to facilitate trade and investment. "This will connect Canada directly to the African continent, with connections to over 120 destinations," says Garreth Bloor, President of the Canada-Africa Chamber of Commerce.
Ethiopian Airlines was commended during the Africa Accelerating 2022 Conference.
Ethiopian Airlines is the only sponsor and partner of The Canada-Africa Chamber of Commerce. The 28-year-old organization held its annual forum, Africa Accelerating.
Ethiopian Airlines was praised for its critical role in bringing Canadian and African markets closer during the three-day event, which Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau inaugurated.
Garreth Bloor said on the first day of the forum, which brought together public and private sector leaders, "Ethiopian Airlines has brought people, deals, and businesses within same-day reach, ensuring Canada and African markets are closer than ever."
Bloor continued, "Ethiopian Airlines lives the conference theme, tagged Leading from Africa: Toward a New Global Era Enabled by Canada-Africa Collaboration,' given its crucial role in Canada-Africa trade and investment.
Ethiopian Airlines has been instrumental in establishing Africa's position as the world's next global growth engine. As a result, Ethiopian Airlines is a global aviation leader.
"In addition to vast passenger volumes, Ethiopian's cargo capacity enables Africa's trade and supply chains," explained Mr. Mesfin Ashebir, General Manager for Canada, at a recent event with African Ambassadors and High Commissioners in Ottawa hosted by The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business.
"Ethiopian Airlines has played a critical role in establishing Africa's position as the world's next global growth engine. We are proud to provide the template for success to the rest of the world, emphasizing Canada's role as a partner and beneficiary of Africa's success."
Mesfin Ashebir stated that the company had released a 15-year strategic growth roadmap titled Vision-2025: "We aimed to increase passenger volumes to 18 million and more than double our fleet to 120 aircraft, in addition to being the best and largest in Africa. We accomplished these objectives years ahead of schedule."
"As discussed during our engagements, Ethiopian Airlines' year-on-year growth reflects its ability to not just keep up with Africa's growth potential but to serve as a key driving force of Africa's development," concluded Garreth Bloor, President of The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business.
It has a rare and incredible international track record of maintaining profitability, avoiding bailouts, and serving customers despite some of the most challenging global conditions in recent years.
We are honored to work with a world-class company that promotes African excellence for the benefit of all." Ethiopian Airlines is now the world's fourth-largest airline in terms of the number of countries served.
It ensures that every market in Africa is easily accessible, with connections to every part of the world. APO Group distributed this on behalf of the Canada-Africa Chamber of Commerce. During the Africa Accelerating 2022 Conference, Ethiopian Airlines applauded.
