Ethiopian Airlines has declared that they've completed all preparations for launching a new service between Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, and Atlanta, USA. Starting on May 16th, 2023, Ethiopians will fly four times per week to Atlanta (ATL).
Ethiopian Airlines begins services in Atlanta
Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, stated that they are thrilled to open North America's sixth gateway with the new route to Atlanta.
Since we have been establishing ties between the United States and Africa for the past 25 years, the new service will strengthen the economic, diplomatic, and socio-cultural ties between the two continents.
We are dedicated to growing our global network as a pan-African carrier and tying Africa to the rest of the world. Additionally, we are eager to better serve the United States by expanding our locations and travel schedules.
He said they look forward to a robust and fruitful collaboration with their new Ethiopian partners as they celebrate the unique connection between Atlanta and Addis Abeba.
Balram "B" Bheodari, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport general manager, also gave his remarks. He said that as the world's busiest and most effective airport, its objective is to deliver greatness while connecting our City to the world.
This new relationship with Ethiopian Airlines strengthens its position as the market leader by extending connectivity and access for our customers. They are ecstatic to have Ethiopian Airlines in Atlanta.

Over 130 international passenger and cargo destinations are currently served by Ethiopian Airlines. Following Chicago, Newark, New York, and Washington, Atlanta will be Ethiopian Airlines' fifth passenger destination in the United States.
